Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes into force on July 1, 2014. CASL will affect every business and organization that communicates using email and other electric communication. It is critical that businesses comply. Violations of CASL can result in significant monetary penalties of up to $10 million for corporations. Directors and officers can also face liability and CASL also creates a private right of action.

Torkin Manes lawyers Violet French and Lisa R. Lifshitz provide the details of CASL and what they mean for your organization.
