Irv Kleiner and Gillian Howe will be speaking at The Ontario Long Term Care Association’s (OLTCA) This is Long Term Care 2022 virtual conference on October 25th.
Navigating the Changing Human Rights Landscape and Preparing to Successfully Avoid Discrimination Complaints and Grievances
Attendees will be provided with an understanding of the Human Rights landscape that continues to undergo rapid change in the post COVID-19 environment. Employers continue to be inundated with employee requests for accomodations in relation to: (a) paid and unpaid time off from work in order to provide care/support to family members who are at home isolating, or who are elderly, or who are at greater risk of serious illnesses if infected by the employee. (b) employees who refuse to follow health and safety policies based on "religion" or "disablity"; (c) employees who have mental health issues including anxiety, depression, stress.
