Roland Hung to speak at OBA Charity and Not-For-Profit Law Program

Roland Hung will be speaking at the OBA Charity and Not-For-Profit Law Program titled, "Essentials on Digital Asset Donations: Cryptocurrency And NFTs," on February 28, 2023.

Digital assets donations such as cryptocurrencies and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to charities and not-for-profits are becoming more common and there are several considerations attached to these assets for legal practitioners. This program will offer an introduction on cryptocurrency, NFTs, blockchain as well as emerging issues in the charity and not-for-profit context, including:

  • How to accept donations in cryptocurrency and NFTs;
  • Legal implications of accepting the cryptocurrency; and
  • How to set up an appropriate infrastructure to ensure security.
