US and Canadian Cross-Border Employment and Immigration Issues - International Employers Forum Seminar

On Tuesday, March 28th Torkin Manes hosted an International Employers Forum session on cross-border employment and immigration law.

Attendees received practical advice on dealing with a cross-border workforce, with topics including:

  • cross-border employment issues together with immigration, employment rules, non-competes and restrictive covenants
  • the differences in employment law between Canada and the US
  • the legal and regulatory issues to consider when transferring employees across the border

A Q&A session followed the presentations offering an opportunity for attendees to ask questions related to their specific corporate situations to our panel of three subject-matter experts:
