Audax completes sale of Laborie Medical Technologies

On September 16, 2016, Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), together with its co-investors and members of management of Laborie Medical Technologies (“Laborie”) completed the sale of Laborie to Patricia Industries, a subsidiary of Investor AB. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Mississauga, Ont., Laborie is a provider of medical devices for urological, pelvic health and gastrointestinal applications. Laborie is a fully integrated medical device company with a market-leading position in urology and a rapidly growing gastroenterology business. Since being acquired by Audax in 2012, Laborie has completed 14 acquisitions to expand product lines and enter international markets. 

The management team of Laborie was represented by Torkin Manes LLP with a team led by Matt Tevlin and including Andrew Wilder (corporate/M&A) and Daniel Pugen (employment & labour).
