Lindsay Kantor and Robert Barbiero elected to the Ontario Bar Association Health Law Executive
Overview
Torkin Manes lawyers Lindsay Kantor and Robert Barbiero have been elected to the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Health Law Executive for the 2017-2018 term. Lindsay Kantor will be returning as Past Chair to the Executive and Robert Barbiero will be joining as Technology Liaison.
The members of the OBA Health Law Section work in private practice, government agencies, regulatory bodies or in-house and deal with diverse issues including complaints and discipline of health care professionals, mental health/consent and capacity, corporate health, duties and standards of care, and health policy.
Patient rights, privacy of health information, end of life decision-making, and the regulation of health professionals are among the hot topics debated in the Health Law Section’s programs and publications.
