Barry is a partner in our Real Estate Group, practising in the area of property acquisition, development and financing. He is noted for his particular expertise in advising on the structure of real estate acquisition and development and negotiating and resolving disputes with respect to commercial land development, joint venture and cost-sharing agreements.
Barry is a frequent contributor to legal publications and has spoken and written extensively on land use and development topics. His book, The Art of the Real Estate Deal, originally published in 1997, is in its second edition and he is currently working on the third edition. This and his other book, The Art of the Corporate Deal, have been enthusiastically received by both the profession and the industry as practical guides to valuation, negotiation and acquisition. Both books are still current and in demand.
