Daniel Stober

A partner in the Private Client Services Group, Daniel leverages his sound judgment and collaborative mindset to provide pragmatic advice on a wide range of estate planning, estate administration and trust matters.

As a trusted advisor, Daniel guides clients in preparing and updating wills, powers of attorney and trusts, and counsels executors and trustees through the estate administration process, including obtaining Certificates of Appointment of Estate Trustee, both with and without a Will (“probate”). He also represents beneficiaries of estates and trusts and advises them on their rights as beneficiaries.

Estate planning often does not lend itself to a “one size fits all” model and so Daniel invests time to familiarize himself with each client’s unique circumstances, family dynamics, and life stage. Daniel adopts a holistic approach and works in collaboration with the client’s other professional advisors, including accountants, financial advisors and insurance advisors, to provide clients with the best possible advice.

Daniel has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in the Canadian edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the category of Trusts and Estates for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023). Daniel has also earned the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, demonstrating his advanced and specialized knowledge of trusts and estates.
