Profile

Lindsay is a partner in our Litigation Group. Lindsay practises in all areas of civil litigation, with a particular expertise in health law and professional discipline. Lindsay provides advice and represents healthcare practitioners in a wide range of civil, regulatory and administrative proceedings.

Lindsay regularly appears before all levels of Court and tribunals in Ontario and, in particular, frequently represents clients in College proceedings (i.e. complaints, investigations, discipline hearings and registration matters), hospital privilege disputes, insurer audits, hearings/reviews before the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and matters before the Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

In addition, Lindsay frequently acts for individuals and corporations in other administrative proceedings, such as OHIP coverage disputes, academic disputes and applications for judicial review, to name a few.

Lindsay’s practice also focuses on defamation proceedings. She frequently advises clients on issues regarding defamation, and represents both plaintiffs and defendants in libel and/or slander cases.

In addition to her practice, Lindsay is the Director of Student Programs at Torkin Manes. She is a Past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Health Law Section, and is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Opportunities, Respect and Empowerment.
