Profile

Valerie is a senior member of our Litigation Group and is a highly respected member of the litigation bar. In addition to her extensive experience as trial counsel, she has appeared as appellate counsel before both the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. With more than 35 years of experience at the Bar, Valerie has demonstrated established expertise in damages analysis, including business loss claims, business and share valuations, and real property valuations. She has experience in commercial litigation, including partnership and shareholder lawsuits, contract disputes, real estate litigation matters, and lawsuits involving fiduciaries and departing employees. She also has an extensive professional liability practice.

Valerie is a frequent speaker at Continuing Education Seminars sponsored by the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association on various substantive law and procedural issues. She is also a former lecturer at the University of Toronto and with the Bar Admission Section (Civil Litigation and Risk Management) of the Law Society of Ontario.
